Skincare Review: Lise Watier Hydraforce
Lise Watier Hydraforce
If you haven't heard of the brand Lise Watier, it is a Canadian skin care company. I have not purchase any Lise Watier skin care product before, but being a skin-care junkie, I have heard other people talking about it; especially because Shoppers Drug Mart always has coupon and extra point offers when you buy Lise Watier product, it is definitely one brand that I always want to try.
So this package of full-size Lise Watier Hydraforce was send to me by Glam Sense Topbox. I was so extremely happy to get this package, because I never receive a full-size skin care product to test. What's more, this product is on the market for more than $50 Canadian, so it is definitely a BIGGG freebie for me!
As a part of the package that was send withe Lise Watier Hydraforce moisturizer was also a device that measure your moisture level. I was surprised that I had normal to dry skin even though I always thought I was combination skin - oily skin. And the version that was send to me was for the normal-dry skin, which is good for this product test! Knowing me, I would have never picked the normal-dry skin type moisturizer because I would be too afraid of over oiliness that would clogged up my pores, but it turned out REALLY GOOD that I got this version, which made me realized that I need to have a heavily moisturizer.
Anyways, I got this product 2 weeks ago and I have been using day and night, sometime only using this moisturizer after washing my face and sometimes with the addition of serum before applying this moisturizer. I have to say, even at the time that I only put on this moisturizer (skipping serum), I think it's equally moisturizing if I had put the serum on too. So this moisturizer is very hydrating!!!
So, if you read my blog before, then you know that I have acne-prone skin, and 80% of the skincare concern is acne, pigmentation, and acne-prevention. After using this moisturizer for 2 weeks, I find that even the hormonal acne that I would always get right before that time of the month went away, amazing right?!?
I think the saying that sometime acne is caused by lack of moisture is correct. When you have a pimple or acne, you think it might be because you are putting on too much, your moisturizer is too oily and it's clogging up your pores and causing the break out; but it is the complete opposite, there's not enough moisture and your pores generate oil to add moisture which causes break out.
Using the Lise Watier Hydraforce made me realize that a really intense hydrating moisturizer is better than an acne-targeting product, because this is acne prevention which is even better than acne fighting when you already have a break out and plus there's no acne scar to deal with.
Final review: 4.5/5, the 0.5 is the price range of this product, which is on the slightly higher end, but it's definitely worth the money to achieve a better skin. And yes, I would repurchase even if it's $50+, I would buy it when Shoppers Drug Mart is having a promotion with Lise Watier.
